Present
Introduce your research question, approach and results. Make your own contribution clear.
KSE Quant Club / Probability and Games 2026
5–6 December 2026
A student conference in probability, stochastic processes, quantitative finance and related mathematics. Present your research, question assumptions and defend your ideas in scientific battles.
Present · Challenge · Respond
Scientific battles turn a research talk into a constructive exchange. The focus is the mathematics: clear reasoning, thoughtful questions and a well-supported response—not personal confrontation.
Introduce your research question, approach and results. Make your own contribution clear.
Fellow students discuss the work: assumptions, methods, evidence and limitations.
The presenter answers the critique, followed by questions and feedback from the jury.
Proposed format. Presentation lengths, opponent assignments and detailed judging rules will be published before the conference. The exact session timetable within 5–6 December is to be announced.
The presenting author must be a currently enrolled undergraduate, Master’s or PhD student. Work with coauthors or supervisors is welcome; clearly identify your own contribution.
An anonymous English research paper of up to 3 A4 pages, including figures and references, submitted as a PDF (maximum 5 MB). Use the LaTeX template: 11-point text and 2 cm margins. Include the question, methods, results or current progress, and limitations. Work in progress is welcome. Also paste an abstract of up to 300 words into the form.
Keep names, affiliations, acknowledgements and identifying links out of the PDF; cite your own work in the third person. Put author details and your personal contribution only in the private form. Use a neutral filename and remove identifying PDF metadata. Submit only material you have permission to share.
The organising team will review submissions for relevance, clarity, mathematical substance and suitability for discussion. Submission does not guarantee a presentation slot or an award. Accepted presenters will receive preparation instructions.
